1950 Dodge

DODGE D36 manufactured November 1950 in Canada. Engine D3617531C Chassis 98026135

We bought this Dodge September 2006 as the "modern" in our fleet. With wind up windows, a roof and windscreen wipers it is a modern car to us! We bought it in Sydney from a non club guy, non club because he was not involved in the car club scene and ran the Dodge on full rego as a "weekender".

We have investigated the D36 in Australia and as yet have found only about 6 known cars, there are others around but on checking have proved to be 1951 or 1952 models.

This Dodge was bought by us with low milage of 59,000 miles and in what seems to be reasonably sound and original condition, it has had a coat of paint, but it only seems to be superficial and not a "body off restoration". The D36 is known by other owners as a low milage car which sat for a long time before being put back on the road.

As with all our cars we find "histories" do come with them, until someone can prove us wrong, that's all we can believe. There may be someone out there who knows better, we are open to suggestions.
